January 27, 2020I was disappointed with this item and returned it. I bought, in part, because my horse has a very sensitive back, especially around the wither area. This pad was so stiff, that just putting it on over his high-wither pad made him uncomfortable because the front didn't bend and therefore pressed straight down onto his sensitive back.

The Exselle Comfort Riser Saddle Pad is a top quality riser pad constructed with dense, closed cell rubber. This pad adds cushioning, while protecting the sensitive spine and shoulder muscles. Reduces saddle pressure on critical areas by redistributing the saddle load. The ventilated front and center channel relieves pressure and increases air circulation. Clinically shaped and tested for a close fit, reducing slipping and friction. Natural memory of closed cell foam allows this pad to maintain its shape almost indefinitely. Non absorbent. 5/8" thick at front and 1 5/8" at the rear. Pad is approximately 18" in length.
