The T3 Matrix Ergonomic Half Pad with Ortho-Impact Inserts is designed to protect and support your horse's back muscles without interfering with performance. Includes one set of Ortho-Impact Inserts. The elongated front of the half pad extends over the shoulder muscle instead of bisecting as a traditional half pad does; thu, it allows the muscle freer range of motion. The top is a linear quilt of ETC(TM) and high qualit, breathable batting. ETC(TM) is a breathabl, non-slip fabric that keeps your saddle securely positione, but is also anti-friction to avoid heat buildup. Typical non-slip materials like rubber scrims use friction for grip which creates heat and can lead to galling. The linear quilt maintains the batting loft for maximum breathability and heat dispersal. The Sheepskin is 100% Australian sheepskin eco-tanned in New Zealand to stringent environmental standards which minimize toxic and harmful chemicals. It has been approved for use in the medical and infant care industries and carries the AWI Woolmark. A Merino cross with over 1" pil, this Sheepskin offers superior pressure relief and weight distribution. Ortho-Impact Inserts are most suitable for general riding and trainin, especially beneficial for horses who have some deficits in their back muscle, uneven muscle development or a saddle that does not fit perfectly. Designed to go inside the Matrix Half Pad. A 5mm layer of ultra-thi, ultra-light Poron XRD(TM) bonded to 12mm layer of medium density viscoelastic foam provides the impact protection of the Poron XRD with the additional stabilizing support of the viscoelastic foam. Poron XRD?? is an ultra-light and ultra-thin layer (5mm) of high density open cell foam that absorbs 90% of the energy from impact. It protects the horse's back muscles from the impact of the saddle and minimizes the energy bounce back that the rider experiences when landing in the saddl, allowing for a more secure seat.
