Equi-Sky Lycra Fly Mask

We don't use fly masks. BUT: One of our horses was hit by a car, had a head injury and had her forelock removed to stitch wounds...leaving her w/o any protection in the middle of fly season. Years ago, our daughter won an Equi-Sky Fly Mask. It is VERY easy to put on over a surgical site/wounded horse's head. SO we ordered a second from Horseloverz. Easily hand washed (hung to dry), fits perfect, zipper is the most awesome part. Pretty pricey but worth it for this purpose...when you spend thousands on vet bills, this is okay.

I bought 2. Fit and stay on great compared to other Lycra masks but one ripped a hole in the side and got it on sideways after a few weeks of wear (note that this was after a storm). Was disappointed it didn’t last as long, but the ears are much stronger than other Lycra masks and have yet to rip.

My go-to fly mask for a lightweight, durable alternative to heavier (and sweatier) masks. Plus the pony happily keeps this one on when turned out!

A great fly mask option for a smaller faced pony

I use this strictly for our turnout. The horse is not with someone else who will tear it off. Don't think I would leave it on in a stall. Love the zipper on the bottom. SO much easier to put on. The ears are a bit short and the eye can be a bit close. For short periods of individual turnout, I would recommend it.

I love this fly mask! It doesn't rub sores on his face as some of the mesh ones do!

My horse has very sensitive eyes and I’ve tried multiple masks and this one is the best. Stays on and is flexible enough but still stays “away” from his eye. Extra bonus is the zipper to attach. Great for!!

Comfortable material for the horse and easy to zipper shut.
