Not the best Kensington product

I have had many Kensington fly masks in the past, and this one has been my least favorite. It has the mask material for the ears and doesn't bend or give at all. My horse takes it off each time. The ears are also very close together for my horses(I have apps). I will probably end up cutting the ears out to use it.

Good quality, but had too long of ears for a medium sized fly mask and the circumference around the nose was too small. A medium sized fly mask didn't even reach the white areas on my TB and he is small boned with a small head. The fly mask just needs to be adjusted better with measurements.

Kensington mask with nose and ears

Pros: Deluxe plum plaid is beautiful. Kensington products are always well made and look sharp.
Cons: The ears are not the soft mesh pictured; they are the same stiff material as the mask. Medium mask is very small in Kensington brand.
Comments: When buying Kensington masks you have to remember that Medium is Arab and Large is Horse. I forgot this, but my gelding is usually able to fit into Arab sized masks anyway. Unfortunately, the ears were so stiff that I couldn't put the mask on him without causing him obvious discomfort. I tried it on a very small mare and the ears bothered her too. I ended up cutting off the ears and stitching some lining around the ear holes and now my horse can wear it when ear coverage isn't necessary. It was worth it to me because it was on sale. If I had paid full price I would have returned it.
