Do not buy this. The head is really small. Luckily I have a Connemara mare with a huge neck and shoulder and pony face, but this didn't even come close to fitting the Warmblood I bought it for. I purchased size Large.

Runs small around head and face

These are a great inexpensive slicker hood and this Mane stay model has a zipper about 3/4 of the way under the neck making it easy to put on! All the sizes in this brand run small around the head / face though. Size small is very tight around head on my petite 700 lb Arab who wears yearling size halter. plenty of length and room around neck though. If your horse/pony is closer to the top of the recommended weight range, or stocky headed, order a size up!
