The Nitrate Water Test system tests nitrate levels from 0 to 160 parts per million by simply filling a clean test tube with five milliliters of water for testing. Next, add 10 drops of solution #1, cap the tube, and invert to mix. Solution #2 needs to be shaken for approximately 30 seconds before 10 drops are added to the tube. Lastly, the tube must be shaken for approximately 1 minute. After waiting five minutes, results can easily be read against the laminated results card. High levels of nitrate are a food source for unwanted algae and indicate unwanted algae and indicate poor water quality. Keep out of reach of children. Solution #1 contains 41 percent Hydrochloric Acid. Each package contains a test tube, cap, computer-analyzed and laminated color card to compare and read results, as well as two testing solution bottles.
