Farm Innovators Digital Pro Series Incubator

Everything about the incubator is awesome: the size, the ease of use, the rotation of the eggs, etc. The issue we are having is maintaining temperature; something it is not doing and as a result we are loosing most of the eggs to this. Now, we've only been using it for the past 4 1/2 weeks and we've seen temperature variations of approx 5 degrees on average...basically it will not achieve the temperature selected. Right now, we have to select the highest temperature possible (104 F degrees) just to get an inside temperature of between 99 and 100 degrees. We are using 2 calibrated thermometer/hydrometer units that are extremely accurate to make this assessment. So now we are stuck with a potential great unit, but one that is basically useless due to the temperature issues/variations. We just finished with a group of 26 eggs....the first batch that we realized we were having these temperature variations. Out of the 26, 1 hatched. We opened up all the other eggs to verify fertilization and every single one was fertilized and almost fully developed. Something stopped it's growth less than a week before scheduled hatching---the only issue we can attribute to this is too low of temperatures. Buy at your own risk. we do have an older, non-digital version of this incubator that does not have these temperature swings.
