Texas Haynet

ELIMINATE WASTE  -  IMPROVE DIGESTION   -  SLOW FEED
IF YOU CAN’T FIND IT, CREATE IT.
Texas Haynet is rooted in rescue. Both our founder and current President are lifelong horse owners and have devoted much of their lives to animal rescue. Their mission in life is simple, help people take better care of their animals.
In 1997, our founder established a rehabilitation center for horses suffering from laminitis, navicular, and various other ailments.  She typically housed about 10 foster horses at a time which necessitated switching to round bales to keep hay cost down. Fast forward to 2001, feeding hay became more labor intensive and expensive as drought sent hay prices soaring. Slow feeders were still a young concept, and she couldn’t find a slow feed hay net for round bales anywhere on the market. So, she took matters into her own hands and made her own from a couple of soccer nets.  Word in the local community spread and she began making a few here and there for friends as time allowed.
