It's OK
The Good: It's lightweight at only 18 pounds, so that makes it perfect for people like me who aren't very strong. It is sturdy, well made, and cleans up easy. The seat is fairly well padded, and won't leave your fanny bruised up if your horse likes to trot. It fits both my 16 HH TWH, and my 15 HH SSH, and has good padding on the bottom. Over all, it's a study saddle. The Bad:The nylon straps! They burn holes through the nylon, which makes for little very sharp edges, that will poke into your horse. I tried filing them down, and even down right cutting all the sharp burnt edges off, it worked OK, and made the holes softer, but I wound up replacing the billet and latigo with leather. The nylon pieces are certainly well made and sturdy, and honestly are great for emergency back-up pieces, worth keeping in your saddle bag for "just in case", but I don't use them as primary straps. The wrost of these holes are the ones that hold the stir-ups, those holes were so sharp, they cut me. I filed them down with a strong metal nail file, and softened out the nylon. You can not replace the nylon under the fenders, it's attached directly to the saddle tree, (a saddle expert could probably replace them, but just a regular ole gal like me can't), so you have to file those holes down as well. Basically, ANY and ALL nylon with holes in it, should be filed/sanded down prior to putting this on your horse. I am told that they can be soldered down as well, but didn't try that.Otherwise, this is a great saddle, and is very sturdy, well made, and will last a very long time.
