I was surprised to find ultrashield priced so affordably. The coverage with the spray is good and it does repel most flies immediately with day long effectiveness. It won't last a week, but it will last all day. Its most effective when sprayed on a clean coat, and if you have just bathed your horse, spray lightly, then again when dry. Concentrate on areas where flies like to attack (legs, underbelly) etc. Now it will not fend off horseflies (the big bad @$$ flies) but I haven't found a product that will. A great find, especially for the price. I

Aerosol dies fast
Pros: When it worked, it was nice not having the traditional fly spray bottle sound that accompanied every squeeze of the trigger...
Cons: The aerosol seemingly vanished overnight, leaving me with over 3/4 bottle that I COULDN'T USE. I didn't buy it on sale at the time, so basically paid full price for a couple of uses. NOT HAPPY.
