Tough-1 Qwikee Gate Latch

I love this latch. My mule can not work it with his opposable lips. Also the gavanized doesn't rust.

I got this to replace the chain, carabiner, and eyebolt latch “system” that I was using for my main gate. (It’s the type of metal tube gate that came with a long chain.) The gate closes to a wooden fence post. This item comes with a long enough chain that I can wrap it around the gate frame and into the slot where the chain that comes with it would go if I were closing the gate to a freestanding post. It also comes with a bolt and nut, I assume for attaching a link to a woodframe gate. I, of course, am not using that. And it comes with an enormous fence staple. I considered continuing to use the eyebolt, but decided to use the staple provided, pounded into the 4 x 4 wood post that I close the gate to. It is much easier to use than a carabiner, and just as secure. I’m very happy with it. Oh, and it is bright and shiny, not galvanized, for anyone who might be concerned with that.

These look like they'll be wonderful to use. Haven't used them yet.
