While these don't last long, they do protect the horses' muzzle from rubs. They stay on well. I'm guessing these average 6-8 weeks each, probably more if you washed them/dried them in dryer..

December 18, 2020Great price. Feels like sheep-skin. Gets dirty easily so I bought a bunch and I just switch them out. Unfortunately I haven’t had any luck putting them through the wash, they just get hard and useless. Hand washing works, but doesn’t get out the ground in dirt. Velcro straps are long enough that I can put it over the halter. I use one for the front and one for the back.

Fits cheek piece of muzzles

I bought this for the noseband and left a previous review. I discovered my mare was getting bad rubs from the cheek and poll straps of her muzzle. These actually work great and can even fit around the rings on the side of the halter part. They do not wash well however. But at this price I will replace them yearly.

The standard size will on fit pony muzzles. You need to buy the deluxe to fit the other sizes. I bought both to figure out the difference. Deluxe is perfect on my horse muzzles and standard is perfect for the Pony muzzles.

This product cannot work. The "fleece" (it has a fabric backing) can only fit around something one inch wide. ALL muzzles have nosebands that are two inches wide. Plus the Velcro is in a lengthwise strip so no way to make fasten between the webbing even if it could reach.
