Desert blend lizard litter is an ideal ground cover for all arid or desert species of lizards snakes tortoises and arachnids. It is much safer to use than sand as it is much less abrasive and less likely to harbor bacteria. Desert blend is a sand substitute developed for desert-dwelling reptiles. Made from ground english walnut shells, it provides an attractive terrarium bedding. If ingested, desert blend will pass easily through your reptile's digestive system. 100% natural ground English walnut shell. Its lighter in weight than old fashioned sand, and dust free for a healthier home environment. Wont scratch cage glass. This material is made in the USA, and can be readily composted with everyday yard waste.
