A mild snaffle bit, the Horze Oval Link Eggbutt Snaffle Bit is a great option for starting young horses.
The oval link of this double jointed mouthpiece provides a wider base and is milder than a French link. This helps to reduce the nutcracker effect that occurs when pressure is placed on the reins. This bit is competition legal for a number of disciplines and is a good choice for many horses.
