This moon bit is designed to be an easy transition from a snaffle to a leverage bit. The 4 1/2" shanks are short to promote the introduction of leverage, while the three-piece sweet iron and copper twisted mouth adds "bite" as well as promotes salivation and aids in the prevention of the "nutcracker" effect.
