Dating back to antiquity, the side saddle was developed to offer women a modest way to ride a horse in fine clothing. While this style of riding isnt as popular today, it is still considered one of the most formal riding disciplines. Our Border Tooled Side Saddle is built with a rawhide wrapped fiberglass tree for strength and a comfortable padded suede seat. The large skirt provides superior balance and is adorned with crisp basketweave border tooling. It has a two pommel design, one for each leg, and a single left stirrup. Complete with both billet and rear billet straps.
